Fight turns deadly in Uintah County

UINTAH COUNTY (News4Utah) – Uintah County Sheriff Office is investigating after a 67-year-old man died at a residence near Pelican Lake Friday afternoon.

Deputies said just after 1 p.m., an argument occurred between the 67-year-old man, who lived at a residence located at 16177 East 4500 South, and a 46-year-old man living on the property of the victim.

Investigators said at some point during the argument, a hand gun was produced and the argument between the two men turned physical, resulting in the death of the 67-year-old man.

No shots were fired from the hand gun during the incident.

At this time the other man involved is cooperating with law enforcement and has not been charged.

The sheriff’s office said the investigation is ongoing.
