SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 News) – SLUG Magazines Brewstillery hosted its biannual festival that celebrated Utah’s local breweries and distilleries.

Attendees gathered at the Union Event Center to sample a variety of craft beverages. The festival featured local food trucks and bands. Drink samples were available with tokens purchased on site.

Angela, H. Brown, SLUG Magazine Executive Editor said, “This event is an all local event so that means that individuals that brew beer or distill spirits have to live in the state of Utah to participate. We’ve got some really fun people here today. We’ve got Moab Distillery here debuting their new product. We’ve got Zions Canyon Brewing drove all the way up from southern Utah to serve some new brews that they’re debuting here.”

SLUG, an acronym for SaltLakeUnderGround, the magazine covers alternative to mainstream coverage of music, art, lifestyle and events-distributing 20,000 issues monthly across the state of Utah.
