WASATCH COUNTY, Utah (ABC4 News) – A father and son duo had to be rescued after their snowmobiles got stuck in the snow near Strawberry Reservoir Saturday night.
According to a post on the Wasatch County Search and Rescue Facebook, a 62-year-old man and his 14-year-old son were snowmobiling in the Clyde Creek area when they became stuck in the snow.
Unable to free up the snowmobiles, they decided to hike to the road.
The snow was chest deep so they decided to stop and build a fire and called 911.
Wasatch Search and Rescue teams arrived to find 12″ of snow in the parking lot with blizzard conditions.
With the help of GPS and the 911 call, the two were located quickly and rescued out of the area.
No injuries were reported.
