Family speaks out after murder-suicide in Ogden

Local News

OGDEN, Utah (ABC4 News) – “They were both really, really good people,” said Sean Villalobos.

The family of the women involved in a murder-suicide in Ogden is speaking out.

Sean Villalobos is the grandson and nephew of 63-year-old Maria Villalobos and 31-year-old Bianca Villalobos.

“They were more like a sister and a mom to me because I grew up with them,” said Sean.

It’s been one day since Sean found out about the last moments of his loved ones lives.

“As far as with the investigation at the moment, Maria got rid of Bianca, and then got rid of herself,” said Sean.

Ogden police say they found the pair around 2 a.m.Tuesday after being asked to do a welfare check.

“It happened sometime during the week,” said Sean. “One of Bianca’s friends found out what happened because neither one of them were answering the door, their phones.”

That’s when a friend went to the home and was able to get inside.

It’s when Maria and Bianca’s lifeless bodies were discovered and police were alerted.

“There were no real indications, nobody really can comprehend exactly what happened,” said Sean. “We knew, of course, there were arguments, bickering between the two of them but nothing too serious. We’re super shocked.”

The family has set up a GoFundMe page to raise money to cover funeral expenses.

Arrangements are still being worked out.
