Family pets perish in Magna house fire

MAGNA, Utah (News4Utah) – A fire destroyed a house in Magna Friday afternoon.

It happened near 7500 West 3800 West.

Unified Fire Authority said the fire started outside the back door of the home and quickly spread inside.

One person who was home at the time made it out safely but was treated on the scene more minor smoke inhalation.

Two family pets died in the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
