The family members of Elizabeth Salgado have hired an attorney to help solve her murder.
Salgado’s remains were found earlier this year in Hobble Creek Canyon. She was last seen in 2015 leaving the Nomen Global School in Provo.
Police are investigating her death as a “homicide investigation under suspicious circumstances”.
Her uncle, Rosemberg Salgado, told News4Utah the family has decided to hire a lawyer to “make sure the investigations are done correctly and to make sure this case is resolved”
Rosemberg says since most of the family lives in Mexico or out of state, they wanted “someone to be in charge of [Elizabeth’s] case”.
“We are confident the police are doing their best, but we have seen cases that are not resolved and we want to make sure this case is resolved quickly,” Rosemberg stated.
Anyone who thinks they might have information related to this case is asked to call the Investigations Division of the Utah County Sheriff’s Office at (801)851-4010.
