Family collects donations after losing their cabin in Dollar Ridge fire

WEST JORDAN, Utah (News4Utah) – Five Utah siblings decided to take matters into their own hands Saturday collecting donations at their family car wash for the evacuated residents of Duchesne.

Karl Mason, Utah native owns several business in Utah. The family collected items at their car wash, Magic Clean Car Wash Saturday afternoon.

The Mason family lost their cabin of over 20 years to the Dollar Ridge fire in Duchesne County. The human caused wildfire has burned 47,789 acres and is 5% contained.

The Mason family is collecting items in efforts to help friends, neighbors and community members as they are evacuated from home.

The families goal is to make sure Duchesne residents get the help they need. They will be taking donations to Duchesne Sunday afternoon.
