SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 News) – A string of disturbing flyers have been found on some campuses of Salt Lake Community College.

Those flyers appear to be distributed by a white supremacist group called Patriot Front.

According to civil rights groups, Patriot Front is a hate group that primarily targets college-aged men.

“Patriot Front (PF) is a white nationalist hate group that formed in the aftermath of the deadly “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, on August 12, 2017,” according to the Southern Poverty Law Center.

According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, the number of hate groups in the United States is now at a record high.

Mitch Poen noticed a flyer at SLCC and posted it to Reddit online.

“I took a picture of it — I was pretty upset by it, especially in a community like that that’s so diverse,” said Poen.

A spokesperson for SLCC confirmed at least four of the flyers were placed around the South City campus; an ABC4 crew noticed evidence of at least one more at the Taylorsville Redwood Campus.

According to the Utah Highway Patrol, there have been reports from Westminster College and University of Utah that flyers have appeared on their campuses, too
