SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 News) – Dozens of people were evacuated from their apartments Tuesday morning during a gas leak.

Fire officials responded to A Street and 1st Ave. around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Dominion Energy responded and ordered 12 buildings evacuated. The evacuation area included 1st Avenue from “A” street to 136 East including the Covey and Hillcrest apartments.

The cause of the water and gas line break is still under investigation.
