SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4 News) – The LGBTQ organization Encircle opened a brand new location for its youth resource center in Salt Lake City on Friday.

The John Williams House Encircle first opened two years ago out of a home in Provo to provide services and resources to meet the needs of LGBTQ+ youth in Utah County and the opening of the Salt Lake City center is the non-profit’s second location.

Musical guests including VINCINT, Parson James and the San Francisco Gay Men’s Choir participated in the ribbon cutting showcasing Encircle’s programs and resources.

“John wanted Encircle to be a welcoming home for those who may not feel at home anywhere else, a place where people can connect with themselves and others. John wanted the youth to understand they should never feel shame for who they are, they are beautiful as they are and the world needs them,” said CEO Stephenie Larsen.
