Emergency crews respond after report of child in river

SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah (ABC4 Utah) – Emergency crews responded to the area of 3911 S. Jordan River Parkway Trail Wednesday evening on the report of a child in the river. 
 
Police say around 8 p.m., a  semi truck driver traveling eastbound on 3300 South crossing a bridge at the Jordan River. 
 
The driver told police he thought he saw a child in the water. He turned around his truck and got out to look, but saw nothing. 
 
South Salt Lake police and fire along with Unified Police Department’s Swift Water Rescue team all converged on the scene to help search. 
 
Police say there are no reports of missing children in South Salt Lake and nothing has been found in the river.
