SAN JUAN COUNTY, Utah (ABC4 News) – The Utah Highway Patrol Southeast Region advises drivers to keep a careful eye out for animals on the roads between Moab and Monticello.

In a post tweeted Thursday the UHP Southeast Region warned drivers that they would be opening the gates to the deer fences in San Juan County neat SR-191 MP 66 to 70.

UHP says a semi driver rolled on to its side Sunday morning around 11:00 a.m. after attempting to avoid hitting a large elk on U.S. 191.
