Elizabeth Smart to Jayme Closs: ‘Try to create a new normal’

Local News

Elizabeth Smart says the one piece of advice she’d offer 13-year-old Jayme Closs, the Wisconsin eighth-grader who endured 88 days in captivity by a man who allegedly killed her parents, would be to try to “create a new normal.”

Smart also says it’s important that investigators and the public give time for Closs to adjust to her new normal since nothing will be the same for her going forward.

She spoke with Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts Monday.
