SALT LAKE CITY (News4Utah)- World-famous child abduction survivor Elizabeth Smart has been nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award.

The Elizabeth Smart Foundation posted a picture on Facebook Tuesday.

The nomination came after her work as a special correspondent for “Crime Watch Daily with Chris Hansen”.

In 2017 Smart was the subject of a two-part A&E documentary titled “Elizabeth Smart: Autobiography” and helped produce a Lifetime Movie “I Am Elizabeth Smart”. Both projects retold Smart’s kidnapping experience.

She was abducted from her Salt Lake City home in 2002 and held captive for nine months.
