Update 5/7: Authorities have identified the victim as 81-year old Richard Wood from Huntsville, Utah.
Police say Wood was a very popular resident in the Ogden Valley as he worked many years for the Powder Mountain Ski Resort.
Investigators still aren’t sure how he got into the swift moving river.

OGDEN, Utah (ABC4 News)-The body of an 80-year-old man was pulled from the Ogden River Monday.
When police arrived on scene after receiving the reports they say they found a vehicle and several items on the bank of the river.
The victim’s body was found about a mile down the river near mile marker 10.
A portion of Ogden Canyon was closed as crews worked to recover his body; it took several hours.
The man’s identity has not been released, but officials say he is from the Ogden Valley.
