Elderly man startled after driver crashes into home

LAYTON, Utah (ABC4 News) – An elderly man was uninjured, but startled after a teen crashed his van into the the side of the man’s home in Layton Saturday afternoon. 

Layton City authorities said the accident happened at about 1:20 p.m. when a teen driving home crashed into the home located at 564 N. Fort Lane.

 The driver of the van was not injured. 

The home has been deemed habitable and restoration crews boarded up the home. Damages are estimated at $12,000. 

Authorities want to remind drivers to please keep focused and do not get distracted or drive drowsy.
