DUI suspected in fatal crash in southern Utah

Local News
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Utah (ABC4 Utah) – Utah Highway Patrol has identified the victims in a deadly crash in southern Utah.
Officials say Tyler Charles, 32, of Fredonia, Ariz. was driving eastbound on State Route 7 just outside the Virgin River Gorge.
His truck left the roadway and he over-corrected causing the Toyota truck to roll. Charles was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected. He died at the scene.
Two other female passengers also not wearing seatbelts suffered minor injuries.
“One of the girls who was least intoxicated of the three that went to drink. She didn’t feel like she could speak up and say, hey, maybe we should stay the night in Mesquite. That was their original plan, and they just didn’t follow through with that and they just felt over confident,” said  trooper with Utah Highway Patrol.
The injured women were identified as Leslie Bullets and Rayelene Jay.
Authorities are investigating DUI as a possible cause of the crash.
