Drowsy driving may be to blame for Legacy Parkway crash

DAVIS COUNTY (News4Utah) – One person was critically injured in a single-car rollover crash on Legacy Parkway Tuesday afternoon. 

The rollover crash happened on Legacy Parkway near Parrish Road.

Utah Highway Patrol said a 17-year-old boy was traveling northbound when he drifted off the road to the left into the center median. He tried to bring the car back to the road, but it began to roll and rolled multiple times. 

The teenager and only person in the car was wearing his seatbelt, but he was partially ejected during the crash. 

The teen was alert and able to speak to first responders on the scene. He told troopers he had fallen asleep. 

He was flown to the Intermountain Medical Center in critical condition.
