Driver killed when semi-truck plunges 200 ft. down Eagle Canyon

EMERY COUNTY (News4Utah) – A Nevada man died when his semi-truck crashed off Interstate 70 in Eagle Canyon.

Utah Highway Patrol said the crash was reported around 2 p.m. Sunday.

Troopers said the semi-truck appeared to go over a concrete barrier sometime the night before and plunged about 200 feet into the bottom of the canyon.

The driver was killed in the crash. He was later identified as Thomas B. Bowler, 42, of Bunkerville, Nev.
