Driver falls asleep, takes wrong exit, overturns semi hauling new cars in Lehi

LEHI, Utah (News4Utah) – A driver of a semi truck crashed and flipped onto its side near the Timpanogos Highway in Lehi early Friday morning. 

Utah County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a crash at about 3:20 a.m. at the off ramp to SR 92 from southbound I-15. Deputies said the driver fell asleep and unintentionally took the wrong exit, causing the semi truck to overturn on its side. 

The semi truck was hauling several new vehicles. 

Currently the eastbound right two lanes and the westbound right lane is closed. It is expected to be closed for a few more hours while crews clean up the area. 

No one was injured in the crash.
