Draper police lieutenant being investigated for possible policy violations

DRAPER, Utah (ABC4 News)-  Draper City is investigating one of their officers after the received notice of possible policy violations.

City officials say the investigation into Lt. Chad Carpenter began on March 13. He was immediately placed on administrative leave.

On Thursday, March 21st city officials say Lt. Carpenter submitted a notice of retirement.

The details behind the investigation have not been released. 

Lt. Carpenter has been with the Draper Police Department since 2003. Carpenter has served as a public information officer for the department.
