KEARNS, Utah (ABC4 News) – Donovan Mitchell showed up to a local high school basketball game, surprising it’s players and those attending the game.

Mitchell sent out a tweet earlier from his account @spidadmitchell saying:

“Friday night hoops.. what y’all got for me?”

Mitchell ended up attending the Kearns High School game, according to a tweet – kearnshs (@kearnsHS)

“Guess who just walked into our house!”

Kearns played Murray High and won the game 69-62.

The high school also gave recognition to the many Unified Officers who showed up to the game.

@kearnsHS – “Some more of the “great” people at our game tonight!”

Mitchell is known for his community involvement and randomly showing up at unsuspecting games and parties around Utah.

Last month, Mitchell met with the family of Maj. Brent Taylor, the North Ogden Mayor who was killed while serving in Afghanistan.
