Donate Life flag raised at Utah transplant centers

Local News

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (News4Utah) – April is National Donate Life month and to kick it off three Salt Lake hospitals are raising the flag.

It’s the “donate life” flag in honor of those who have given the gift of life. It’s also a reminder. Letting people know the need for organ, eye and tissue donors is great.

These flags also represent the nearly 800 people in Utah alone waiting for a second chance at life.

“Their lives can only continue if they are able to receive a gift of life… either receive an organ, eye or tissue, from people who are able to donate that,” said Amber Jones with Intermountain Donor Services.
