Dixie State welcomes new dean to College of Humanities & Social Sciences

ST. GEORGE, Utah (ABC4 News) – Dixie State University has announced it has selected the new dean of College of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Dr. Stephen Lee will begin his role on July 16th. Previously, Dr. Lee served as the associate dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Santa Clara University. 

During his tenure in Calfornia, Lee started as an acting assistant professor before becoming a tenured associate professor and chair of the Communication Department, where he directed the digital filmmaking program for more than 10 years. Lee also oversaw graduate programs in counseling psychology and education. 

“My research about DSU’s mission along with my interactions with many of the faculty, staff, and students tell me that I am joining an exceptional academic community,” said Dr. Lee, in a statement.
