District Attorney to seek death penalty in prison murder

SALT LAKE CITY, (ABC4 Utah) -The Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office plans to seek the death penalty in a murder case at the Utah State Prison.

The notice of intent was filed Monday in the case of State of Utah v. Ramon Luis Rivera.  
Among the charges filed against Rivera is aggravated murder for the allegedly killing Jeffrey Vigil at the Utah State Prison on March 14, 2016.
