SANDY (News4Utah) – Teenagers can earn their ASE, or Automotive Service Excellence Certification while still in high school at Canyons Technical Education School in Sandy. Auto and diesel employers consider the certification mandatory, and consider the youngsters who have it a step above their peers.
CTech was honored Wednesday by Associated Equipment Distributors, or AED, the body that provides curriculum and accreditation for the school. In partnership with the Governors Office of Economic Development, AED has fostered this training at CTech to grow the number of qualified professionals in the auto and diesel industry.
CTech provides training and certification in more than 13 areas, all while giving college credit for just $5 per credit.
