WASHINGTON COUNTY (News4Utah) -An Enoch woman taken into custody on multiple drug charges, while authorities tell us what were said to be her own children looked on.

Washington County Sheriff’s officials said this happened along I-15 Monday night near Anderson Junction, with something as simple, as a routine traffic stop.

Inside the vehicle though, the sheriff’s office says there was marijuana and other substances.

“The part that was most alarming about this was that at time of the incident, there were three minor children sitting in the back seat, and several of the narcotic substances were actually recovered within reach of the children,” said Lt. Dave Krause with Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Joahn Long, 25, was taken into custody. Booking records show she faces multiple drug charges based on what deputies found. Krause says it was marijuana, marijuana derivatives, suspected cocaine, and psilocybin mushrooms.

Krause says long was cooperative and was booked into the jail at Purgatory. The children are OK, they were released to a family member.
