Local News

UTAH COUNTY, Utah (News4Utah) – A Utah County man was arrested on suspicion of sexual exploitation of a minor.

Over the past several months investigators with the Special Victims Unit of the Utah County Sheriff’s Office began investigating a case where videos and images of child pornography were being downloaded to a computer at a home in Payson.

They were assisted in this case by Homeland Security Investigations and the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce. Based on information investigators collected they obtained a search warrant for a home in Payson.

On Sunday morning, they executed the search warrant at that home. Investigators say they found evidence which included multiple videos depicting adult males raping and sexually assaulting young girls and boys ranging in age from infants just a few months old to pre-pubescent.

The homeowner, Brian Wayne Raade, 32, admitted to investigators that he has been downloading child pornography weekly, specifically involving videos depicting infants being raped and otherwise sexually assaulted, for several years.

Raade was arrested and booked into the Utah County Jail on 10 counts of 2nd degree felony sexual exploitation of a minor. Bail for Raade has been set at $50,000.00 Cash Only.

During the investigation, his roommate, Scott Leinbach, 56, was also questioned.  He’s facing drug and weapons charges.  Deputies say he had numerous guns, knives swords and spears and was restricted from owning them.
