Deputies seek inmate who ditched work release program

CACHE COUNTY, Utah(News4Utah) – Authorities in Cache County are looking for an inmate who took off during his work release program.

Cache County Sheriff’s Office says Trevor Shepherd, 23, “absconded” from his work release program Friday, January 5. Shepherd was originally indicted in February 2016 on several charges including possession of a controlled substance and carrying a concealed dangerous weapon. 

Deputies are releasing his picture in the hope that the public can help track him down.
