RELIANCE, Wyo. (News4Utah) – A Utah man wanted by authorities in Wyoming was arrested Thursday. Brian Richard Olsen, 31, of Price, was wanted by authorities in Sweetwater County, Wyoming for allegedly brandishing a gun during a road rage incident.

When officers responded to his house on Wednesday and attempted to arrest him on the warrant, Olsen allegedly answered the door holding a loaded shotgun.

Deputies say after a brief verbal altercation, Olsen surrendered the weapon and was taken into custody on his bench warrant without further incident. No shots were fired, and neither Olsen nor any sheriff’s office personnel were injured during the encounter.

Investigators said they also had reason to believe Olsen was involved in some illegal drug activity. After obtaining a search warrant for Olsen’s home, detectives found multiple firearms and a “sizeable” marijuana grow operation that included about 80 marijuana plants in various stages of growth.

Now Olsen faces a slew of other charges including possession with intent to distribute, possession of a deadly weapon with unlawful intent and cultivation of marijuana. He remains in the Sweetwater County Detention Center awaiting his initial court appearance.
