SALT LAKE CITY (News4Utah) – The dense fog is not only causing visibility problems but it is now causing airport problems as well.
Officials with Salt Lake International Airport say Monday morning several flights have been canceled due to low visibility. As of 10 a.m. four outbound flights and seven inbound flights were canceled. One flight was diverted to Provo, officials said.
Sunday was a lot messier. There were 23 outbound flights and 21 inbound flights canceled due to fog and at least 23 flights were diverted to other airports.
Anyone heading to the airport is urged to check with their airline prior to arriving at the airport regarding delays and cancellations.
There is a Dense Fog Advisory in affect for the Wasatch Front until 8 a.m. Monday.
Drivers are urged to use caution.
