Davis School District approves pay increase for teachers

DAVIS COUNTY, Utah (News4Utah) – The Board of Education of Davis School District has approved a teacher pay raise.

The pay raise includes a 2 percent cost of living increase, an increase based on education levels and years of service and a one-time stipend.
Teachers who are starting out in the 2019 fiscal year in the Davis School District will have a starting wage of just under $42,000.

“We are very appreciative of all of our employees in Davis School District,” said Board President John Robison. “The negotiation process this year with both the classified and certified representatives reflects the strong relationship that is shared between employees, our District administration and the Board of Education. We are pleased with the settlement and look forward to another great school year in 2018-19.”
