Cultural concert to benefit international students, refugees

Local News

Imagine setting foot in a new country with an unfamiliar culture and language you can not understand.

Now, imagine doing that all alone.

Ludo Guisti knows, firsthand, how that feels.  The Italy native came to Utah four years ago for school.  After becoming seriously injured in a car crash without any medical insurance or support, the young student decided she wanted to help others avoid finding themselves in similar situations.

That is why Guisti started her own foundation.

Ludonation helps international students and refugees struggling with their higher education.

For months, Ludonation and a new app company called boomr have been organizing a big multicultural concert called the ‘Hanging Around the World Festival Fundraiser.’  The dynamic partnership has recruited about 50 performers for the event, as well us yummy food vendors of all kinds.

Proceeds from the concert will help fund modest scholarships for students of Ludonation.
