SOUTH SALT LAKE (ABC4 News) Crews worked to clean up a big mess on the road after a few hundred gallons of paint spilled.
It happened just before 1 p.m. at 3300 South and 300 West.
Battalion Chief Shane Conrad, South Salt Lake Fire Dept. said a road striping truck contracted with the Utah Department of Transportation was hauling a 250-gallon tote of paint when it broke open, spilling on the road.
The paint reportedly goes all the way to 900 West.
Conrad said drivers do not have to worry if the paint gets on their vehicles. It’s a water-based paint and should wash off.
