Crews spend hours fixing water mains in Sandy after break floods neighborhood

SANDY, Utah (ABC4 News) – Sandy City crews spent most of the weekend fixing broken water mains after a break flooded a neighborhood Saturday afternoon. 

A spokesperson for Sandy Fire said five water mains broke yesterday, four of them were in the area between 10800 South and 11700 South from 800 East to 1000 East. 

City crews spent most of the night doing repairs. 

Water ran into nearby roads and onto some people’s property but the extent of the damage is not yet known. The cause of the water main breaks has not been released.
