Crash near Utah/Ariz. border causes major backup on I-15

WASHINGTON (ABC4 Utah) – Interstate 15 was shut down near the Utah/Ariz. border Monday night due to a crash. 
 
The crash occurred four miles south of the state line and resulted in brush fire. 
 
 
The interstate was eventually reopened, but congestion remained well into the evening. 
 
Arizona Department of Transportation officials suggested drivers delay travel through the area or use an alternate route all together. 
 

The crash was cleared just around 9:45 p.m. Monday.
