SALT LAKE CITY, Utah(ABC4 News) An important event is being held tomorrow will help in the fight against child sex trafficking. Britney Carpenter and Kristal Price, both Operation Underground Railroad volunteers, joined Emily Clark to talk about program.

Carpenter says the group wanted to create an event where everyone could come and participate in fighting slavery. She says everyone can be an abolitionist and help rescue children from sex trafficking.

The Gift of Freedom is Tuesday Nov 14th,  in the Provo Startup building from 4:00-10:00 pm. Thanks to the generous donations of local companies in Utah, 100% of what you spend, whether it be on food or gifts, will be donated to Operation Underground Railroad to rescue children from slavery.

With each purchase you will also receive free O.U.R. themed Gift wrapping, a cookie, and with every $25 purchase (which Carpenter says is really a $25 donation), and a free ticket to The Bounce House which is an $8 value.

Food vendors will also be there donating 100% of proceeds or profits. Rockwell Ice Cream CO., Cubby’s Food Truck, Nothing Bundt Cake, and Sweeto Burrito will all attend.

There will be live entertainment from singers like Yahosh Bonner, Bri Ray, Ashely Hess, and Abraham Thomas.

Carpenter encourages everyone to check out the Facebook event page, Operation Undeground Railroad- Gift of Freedom Fundraiser. There you can see a full list of the companies donating to this cause. Follow O.U.R. Gift of Freedom on Instagram to see even more donations.
