SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4 News) – The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will begin the 11th International Art Competition on Thursday.

The theme for 2019 is “Meditation on Beliefs” and will feature artists from over 25 countries to depict and draw on Psalm 77: “I will remember the works of the Lord: surely I will remember thy wonders of old. I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings.”

The artwork was selected by five jurors who selected 151 pieces of arts. An awards ceremony will be held in the Temple Square Assembly Hall from 6 p.m to 7 p.m.  A public reception will follow immediately afterward until 9 p.m.

Admission to the museum is free and is open to the public Monday-Friday from 9 am to 9 pm and on Saturdays from 10 a.m to 5 p.m.
