SALT LAKE COUNTY (News4Utah) –Charges were formally filed against a man accused of attacking a Starbucks barista.
Benjamin Scott Overall is charged with aggravated assault and criminal trespass.
According to charging documents, Overall walked into the Millcreek Starbucks and started punching the female victim in the head, face, and neck.
After she fell to the floor, police say Overall started kicking and stomping on her.
Overall then “aggressively approached” a customer who has a conceal carry permit. That customer shot the suspect.
Overall was treated for his injuries and is currently behind held in the Salt Lake County Jail.
