UPDATE: Ryan Holladay was arrested Thursday, June 20, and booked into the Salt Lake County Jail.
UPDATE: Ryan Holladay has still not yet been captured but Wednesday the Salt Lake District Attorney’s office filed official charges against the man accused of shooting someone during a business dispute Sunday night.
Documents show Holladay has now been charged with two second-degree felony discharge of a firearm, three third-degree felony discharge of a firearm and one second-degree felony possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person.
A $100,000 warrant for his arrest was also issued.
Holladay was previously charged with third-degree felony stalking on May 13 for an incident in April where he tracked his estranged wife to a hotel then tried to secretly record her as proof she was having an affair to use against her in their divorce, documents state.
A $25,000 warrant was issued in that case.
In a background check for Holladay, it shows there have been five protective orders requested by different women since 2003 and has been convicted of multiple felonies including aggravated robbery, robbery, possession of a dangerous weapon, damage to jails.
He also has several misdemeanor convictions including impersonating an officer, assault and domestic violence.
BLUFFDALE, Utah (ABC4 News) – Police in Bluffdale say a business deal gone wrong landed one man in the hospital.
Investigators say 36-year-old Ryan Holladay shot the man Sunday evening during an argument over a payment of landscaping work.
According to a police report, officers were called to the home shortly after 9:30 p.m. on a report of a shooting.
Polis said Holladay had come to the victim’s residence in Bluffdale to discuss landscaping work that was performed by him and they disagreed about payment for the work performed.
Holladay found the victim and his wife at their home and after a brief conversation, the suspect pulled a gun and fired approximately six shots, according to the release.
The victim was struck twice, once in the arm and once in the torso. Police said the victim is currently in stable condition.
The suspect then fled the scene in a black 2017 Ford pickup truck which was later found abandoned near the Salt Lake Airport.
The man’s mother wrapped a tourniquet around his arm while his wife drove him to a nearby fire station for help. He was rushed to an area hospital. Police say the man is in stable condition and talking with police.
Ryan Holladay is described as:
- 6 foot tall caucasian
- weighing 225 pounds
- brown hair and hazel eyes
Last seen driving a black 2017 Ford F350 Pickup truck with Utah License Plate 8-D-4-V-D.
Detectives say the truck may have landscaping equipment and possibly a business logo on the side of it.
Police say Holladay does have a criminal history so if you see him please call police.
Bluffdale and Saratoga Springs Chief Andrew Burton says he will release the suspect’s picture and have more information on this story Monday morning.
