PROVO, Utah (ABC4 News) – A man arrested in Provo and accused of threatening a mass shooting was formally charged Thursday.

Christopher Cleary, 27, of Colorado was charged in Utah with parole violations and making a terroristic threat.

Colorado police contacted Provo police on Saturday about Cleary who they said had recently made a Facebook post wanting to shoot and killing women. He blamed them for the lack of love in his life.

According to a probable cause statement, Cleary posted the following message on his Facebook timeline on the same weekend that women’s marches were held around the U.S.:

“All I wanted was a girlfriend, not 1000 not a bunch of hoes, not money none of that. All I wanted was to be loved, yet no one cares about me I’m 27 years old and I’ve never had a girlfriend before and I’m still a virgin, this is why I’m planning on shooting up a public place soon and being the next mass shooter cause I’m ready to die and all the girls the turned me down is going to make it right by killing as many girls as I see.”

Cleary is not eligible for bail. His first court appearance is scheduled for Friday, January 25.
