Chapman library celebrates 100th birthday

LEHI, Utah (News4Utah) – A celebration for The City Library Chapman Branch 100th birthday. The branch is located on 900 West and opened on May 27th 1918.

At the time it was the only public library on Salt Lake City’s west side. The party featured antique cars, costumes from throughout the century and opening ceremony remarks from Salt Lake City Mayor Jackie Biskupski.

Over the course of 100 years the library has remained open and still serves Salt Lake City’s West Side and the Poplar Grove neighborhood.
