SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 News)- The Carmen B. Pingree Autism Center of Learning held their annual Autism Walk on Tuesday in celebration of World Autism Awareness Day.
Pingree provides comprehensive treatment, education and related services for children with autism and their families.
After the walk, the students celebrated with a dance party and Swig sugar cookies.
In 2018 the CDC determined that approximately 1 in 59 children is diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.
The Pingree Center is currently hosting its “Do Your Blue” fundraiser. It’s their goal to streak Utah blue to increase Autism Awareness.
