Tentative agreement reached to increase teacher salaries to $50,000/year

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 News) – Good news for beginning teachers in the Canyons School District. Tuesday night, a tentative agreement, between the school district and the Board of Education, was reached that would start a beginning teacher out at $50,000/year.

Wednesday morning, Sally Sansom, from the Canyons District’s Human Resource Department, joined the Good Morning Utah team to talk about the agreement and how the school district is recruiting the best and brightest teachers to the district.
