SANDY, Utah (News4Utah) – Candidates from across the state gathered at the Salt Lake Community College campus in Sandy to talk about issues with minority voting.
The N-A-AC-P and other groups like “Latinos in Action” and “The League of Women Voters of Utah” hosted Saturdays forum to give marginalized and disenfranchised communities a platform to tell candidates their need.
“This is my first time actually voting I thought it was really important to not just go over the website but to actually go out there and talk to people that are actually running. The people that I’m going to be voting for. And I felt a responsibility of doing that myself.” says James Takada an attendee.
Election day is on November 6th. News4Utah will give you all the updates and information now through the election.
