SALT LAKE CITY (News4Utah)- The More Than Pink Walk (formerly known as ‘Race For The Cure’) does a lot more than burn calories. It brings hope.
“More Than Pink Walk builds on the legacy of the Race for the Cure while creating a new and impactful way to unite our community of supporters and better explain the impact and importance of their fundraising,” spokesperson Linda Spira said.
The event will give participants a closer look at how their efforts are moving the needle in breast cancer research and in local breast cancer programs.
Laurie Flagler is a breast cancer survivor. She says the race gave her something to focus on outside of her treatment.

“It took everything I could just to get through the walk and to get through that finish line…to have everybody cheering…it symbolized the whole journey that I was going through, ” Flager said.
The MTP walk in Saturday, November 3rd at Sugar House Park located at 1330 East 2100 South.
Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., but the walk kicks off at 9 a.m. with an Opening Ceremony.
