SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4)- Four people were transported to the hospital after being injured by turbulence on a Southwest Airlines flight bound for Salt Lake City.

According to a Southwest Airlines spokesperson, the flight experienced “moderate turbulence,” causing three flight attendants and one passenger to be treated for minor injuries.

Flight records show the Boeing 737 took off from Chicago Midway International Airport at 12:18 p.m. CT and landed at Salt Lake City International Airport at 2:34 p.m. MT.

The fasten seat belt sign was on when the airplane experienced turbulence, according to Southwest Airlines.

The conditions of the four people injured are unknown.

Later Friday evening, a man was hospitalized after jumping out of a plane bound for Salt Lake City from the Los Angeles Airport.
