RICHFIELD, Utah (News4Utah) – A 10-year-old boy is dead after he was hit by an SUV while riding his bike.
Utah Highway Patrol says an SUV was traveling west on State Route 119 around 5:30 p.m. Thursday when it struck the boy who was riding in the roadway.
The boy, identified as Harley Howells, was rushed to the hospital where he later died.
The crash forced closure of SR 119 between Glenwood and Richfield, but it has since re-opened. Troopers said the crash is under investigation.
