SPRINGDALE, Utah (ABC4 Utah) A body was recovered by Zion National Park staff Thursday.
An abandoned vehicle was reported to park law enforcement Wednesday afternoon around 3 p.m.
The vehicle was parked near the Canyon Overlook Trail. When park rangers searched the area, they spotted a body at the base of the Great Arch.
The body was recovered Thursday with the aid of a helicopter.
The National Park Service and Washington County Sheriff’s Office are investigating this incident.
The victim’s identity and cause of death are still under investigation.
