Body pulled from Ogden pond identified

OGDEN, Utah (News4Utah) – The body of Tracy Rex Kunzler, 51, was recovered from an area near the Ogden River Wednesday morning. 

Ogden police say they received a tip through a post on social media about the body Tuesday night.

Someone saw the body floating in the 21st Street pond and took a picture of it. The person posted the photo to a community group on Facebook and asked others if they thought it was real.

Police reached out to the person who posted the photo and he directed them to where the body was.

Crews were able to recover the body around 8 a.m. According to police,  the preliminary report does not indicate a suspicious death. 

The body was taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine cause of death.
